Anthony Soh

Managing Director

Anthony is the Managing Director of Alcove Law LLC where he specialises in Dispute Resolution, covering litigation, arbitration and mediation. He understands clients’ needs from a commercial perspective and works with clients to craft strategies in legal disputes and negotiations. Admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Singapore in 1989, Anthony has since represented clients at all levels of the Singapore Courts and has been appointed counsel in arbitration proceedings both in Singapore and Hong Kong. Anthony’s practice focuses on commercial matters, particularly in the areas of corporate disputes, insolvency, negligence, and intellectual property. Anthony has also been appointed as a mediator.

▼ Directors Duties

Acted for the claimants and successfully secured a multi-million-dollar settlement, when the liquidators of an aircraft leasing company sued several former directors for Breach of Directors' Duties.

▼ International Arbitration

Was lead counsel for a Singapore company in a Hong Kong arbitration relating to the failed installation of a semi-conductor fabrication plant in Russia.

▼ Intellectual Property

Represented a well-known designer brand in the High Court due to trademark and copyright infringement by a Singapore retailer.

▼ Corporate Insolvency

Represented an unsecured creditor of a group of companies that went into liquidation with proceedings related to unfair preference allegations.

Advised an Indonesian national telecommunications company as part of a dispute resolution team with respect to the failed installation of systems in various parts of Indonesia.

▼ Contested Probate

Represented one party in a number of lawsuits related to a family estate worth upwards of $50 million. Allegations included personal bankruptcy, conflicting wills and an illegitimate child and spanned over eight years.

Was lead negotiator for a Singapore-based technology firm in a series of software distribution and licensing agreements with its Asian Pacific counterparty.

Represented the CEO of a music publishing company in the negotiations of exit terms, which included non-compete and severance packages.

Acted for the wife in a divorce where the parties were based in different countries. Issues involved of maintenance and custody of the children. The husband had assets that were hidden in jurisdictions such as the BVI and the Cayman Islands and via of joint ownership of properties with siblings.
